We're on the hunt for an Events Manager to oversee our catering events and popups. We're looking for someone who's passionate about oysters, has shucking skills, and has experience in the food and beverage industry. This is a fun and exciting role that requires a flexible schedule—events may happen on weekdays or weekends and will be busier during the summer months.
Responsibilities
- Bring the wow-factor to our oyster bars by ensuring quality and setup are up to our standards
- Show off your expert shucking skills by serving up mouth-watering oysters at events and popups
- Keep our work environment safe and clean
- Keep our equipment clean and in working order before each event
- Get creative and plan exciting oyster popups that leave people craving more
- Expand our reach by developing new catering opportunities and partnerships
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with a passion for oyster preparation and service
- A deep knowledge of oyster varieties, preparation methods, and presentation techniques (and maybe even a few oyster puns up your sleeve)
- Drivers license and your own vehicle with the ability and willingness to use for work events
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Stellar communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work on weekdays or weekends, as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
