Ceviche is one of our favorite ways to prepare seafood. A crunchy blend of veggies with bright citrus and clean, fresh rockfish makes for the perfect light yet filling meal. Hans lets this product marinate so it’s ready to eat when you buy it!

‍Ingredients:

Local rockfish
Cucumber
Tomato
Cilantro
Red onion
Sriracha
Sugar
Salt
Lime juice

‍How to eat: ‍

Ceviche is a meal in itself so feel free to dive right in with a fork! We love eating them with corn chips or avocado on the side. Margaritas highly recommended!

The Fish Mongers Guide to Filleting Rockfish Ever wondered how to work with a whole Rockfish? Well, Hans is here to show you how it’s done! We have Rockfish fillets available at our main location in the Santa Cruz Harbor and our farmers’ markets this weekend too. 🚛💨 Whole fish are a little trickier to pack for farmers’ markets but we’re always happy to send one along via special order. Email info@hhfreshfish.com to request yours. Commercial Rockfish season is open year-round in the Monterey Bay and they tend to be a species that we offload regularly, so no rush. ☺️💌 Thanks to our friends at @positively_groundfish for shooting this video. What a gorgeous fish! 😍 One of our favorite things about Rockfish is the fact that there are so many different species that come in so many different shapes and colors. This versatile fish is caught year-round in the Monterey bay so you can pretty much be guaranteed to find it at our farmers’ markets and in shop always! At $12/lb for fillets, it’s a great affordable local specialty.🪝 We just got in a beautiful batch of fresh local Chilipeppers, Canarys, and more. Come on down today to grab a whole fish! We also have whole Ling Cod, Halibut, and Sole. ⚓️🐟

His knife skills are unmatched, filleting fish with precision that's nothing short of an art form. 🔪 Whether he's in the kitchen or behind the counter, DJ is a jack of all trades, making the most of every day that he's at the shop. 🐟 But it's not just about his skills and baby blue eyes 😉 – DJ is the kind of guy who makes work feel like family. His friendly demeanor and helpful nature make him a pleasure to be around. 🤗 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 A dedicated family man with two awesome sons, DJ brings a unique blend of expertise and warmth to our team.
